Im back!

Hey Everyone!

So I got back form Ireland a few days ago and have something to share with you!

So obviously I like doing nail art but one thing i hate is finishing a mani then having to go out or do some housework (bore) and then having my freshly painted nails smudging, sticking and getting ruined no matter how careful I am. So i through the years i have tried many quick dry sprays, top coats, even tried using the hair dryer in times of desperation, but back to the point, whilst I was in Ireland I came across a cosmetics brand called Essence. I have never seen this brand in England but im pretty sure you can get it somewhere, and what I found was by far the best quick dry helper EVER. This product is called nail art express dry drops and the come in a little bottle with a dropper instead of a brush. I couldn't believe how good they were when I first used it especially considering it cost about 3 euros. If using these drops your mani will literally be touch dry and smudge free within a few seconds and so by the time you have applied the drops to each nail the first few will already be dry!

Tri Colour Braided Nails

Hey Everyone,

So early tomorrow I will be heading back to IRELAND for the first time in ages!!!!
This means that I wont be posting for a whole week, Sorry!

But I thought I would leave you with a Irish inspired design, I chose to do braided nails as i have seen these around a lot lately and there is a link to a tutorial here. The Irish part of the design is the tri colours of the flag that i used to do the design.

So here we have Tri Colour Braided Nails!

Union Jack

Hello everyone!

So Great Britain got our first GOLD today! Woohoo! So I decided to go with a union Jack design on my nails.

So here we have....Union Jack nails!

I used Barry M's for all the bases in 'Matt White', 'Bright Red' and 'Navy Blue'.  The Glitter on the tips is just some cheap stuff that I've had for years now and the rhinestones I bought on Amazon.

Hope you all like and are enjoying the olympics!

See you all soon!

Olympic Rings

Hello Everyone,

Today I am back with an Olympics inspired design for you all, living in England means im never far away from someone waving the flag or talking about the Olympics so I decided to use it as inspiration for this design.

So here we have the Olympic rings

I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dry in 'Silver Sweep' for the base and center of the rings, this really is the best silver polish I have ever bought by far, you need one coat for a completely opaque look and it dries in seconds. I used all Barry M's for the ring colours (you can probably tell by now I am a fan of Barry M!) The colours used were  Turquoise, Yellow, Black, Spring Green and Bright Red.

I created this design using dotting tools by using the biggest one to make five circles on the nails in all the colours and then using a smaller one and filling the circles with the silver polish to make them look like rings. I did try using straws for this design the first time (dipping the end into some  polish then printing it on the nail) but found it to be quite messy for a design that needed to look controlled and in the end it was a lot easier and less messy using the dotting tools although it may have taken slightly longer the overall outcome was better.

Hope you all enjoy and are having fun during the Olympics!

See you soon!! X

Flower Power!

Hey guys,
Today I was decided to go really bright and colourful simply because I am sick of the horrible summer were having in England, so I decided to go with a really summery design to lighten my mood!

So here we have...Flower Power

I used all Barry M's again. I started by using 'Matt White' over a clear base coat just so the colours would stand out more. Then i just used a thin nail art brush that i bought on amazon for around £1 ( I received 3, all different sizes). The colours i used are called 'Coral', 'Spring Green', 'Shocking Pink', 'Cyan Blue' and 'Yellow'. For the flower i used fimo canes that i again bought on amazon for just a couple of pounds, I stuck them on with a tiny amount of medium strength nail glue as you don't need it to be too strong for something as small as these, especially if you are going to be changing your designs as often as I do, it makes them much easier to remove. Then i used a topcoat to seal in the design and stop cracks occuring.

Hope you enjoy!

P.s. if anyone has any suggestions as to what designs they would like to see just comment and let me know!

Vintage spots with cherries

Hello Everyone :)

So I used to love dressing in 'vintagey' type clothes and when I did I loved to try and match my nails with the outfit. This also happens to be one of my favourite designs that I have done.

Hope you enjoy!

Heres Vintage spots with cherry design!

I used all Barry M's in the colours 'Cyan blue' for the base, 'Matt White' for the spots, 'Bright Red' for the cherry and 'Emerald Green for the stems. I used a dotting tool for the spots and used a technique that I found  on youtube for the cherries which is really easy. The technique includes making you own 'nail stickers' and is by one of my all time favourite nail artists on youtube, here is the link to what I adopted my design from. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0dqgXVU6wA

Hope you enjoy!

Dotty about flowers!

Hey everyone!

So here's my second post of the blog! This is another of my favorite designs and its very easy to do on BOTH hands!

Heres 'Dotty about Flowers'

I used No.7 'Nougat' for the base and Rimmel London 'Blackout' for the main flowers and Barry M 'Matt White' for the dots. All I used to do the flowers and dots was a series of different size dotting tools that I bought on ebay for like £2 or something stupid. You get five double sided tools and they're so useful for almost any design!
Hope you enjoy!

If anyone has any requests of designs they would like me to try just comment and let me know!

Hi Everyone!

Hey everyone,

So... I have loved, loved, loved doing nail art for a couple of years now and since i have finished my GCSE's this year and have an extra long summer I have really got back into it. So I thought I would share my creations and recreations with you.
Also this is my first blog so if i do something wrong, im sorry! :)

I thought I would start out with one of my favourite designs I have done even though it was a while back now!

So here is my interpretation of stripes with a dotted flower!!!
All I did was paint my nails a solid Lilac using 'You've really nailed it' in Lilac, then i striped with a white striper from 'Nail Star' two way pen and brush in white, then i used a dotting tool for the flower using 'Barry M' in 165-Burgundy and 134-yellow.

Hope you enjoy!
